I don’t think we could adequately thank the Lord for the work our forefathers did to establish this nation on Christian principles and with protection for the freedom to worship God. We are still blessed today to be able to worship God and thank Him for this and many other freedoms. May we willingly and boldly defend the precious rights we enjoy – the right to attend the church of our choice and to elect the leaders of our country.
Psalm 136:1-3 Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. Oh, give thanks to the God of gods! For His mercy endures forever. Oh, give thanks to the Lord of lords! For His mercy endures forever. Father, We humbly come before You and ask that Your Spirit reach across the lands to all who are hurting and spiritually lost. Restore their hearts with hope everlasting; comfort them with Your tender, loving arms. May we be sensitive to their needs, whether physical or spiritual, and be eager and willing to share Your love for them, just as You have bestowed Your love upon us. Amen
